a lot of students prefer studying in spaces away from home, but there aren't enough cafes or libraries that close late. while Somerset is a great place for entertainment, it also needs a comfortable and conducive, 24-hour workspace where students can mug around the clock with no distractions

The arena for youth to hangout at Scape in the only venue at Somerset District. Back in 2000s, it was the youth hub. The current market has shifted to suit the taste of high net worth consumers. Somerset is no longer the most affordable place for youth to mingle and study. Every spaces created, we need to factor in the cost of operations. Who shall fund the facilities for a 24 hour workspace?

Somerset must preserve its innovative youth vibes. More than an arena to feature young talents, it should be the hub for creative innovation Singapore. It should envision itself as the place for crafts and artistry, social impact advocacy and community engagement to exist socially Alive! It should become the place for youth to kick start pilot projects and be seen by visitors from across the world. If Korea can create K-waves, Singapore can make #SGWaves across the world through diplomatic cultural exchange
